Current Licence Situation

The SADR has been divided into a total of 18 blocks, 12 located offshore, and 6 onshore. A Licencing Round was announced in May 2005 and in March 2006 the SADR signed licence agreements with 6 companies for a total of 10 blocks (7 offshore and 3 onshore).

Blocks Available

A total of 10 blocks remain available, 5 offshore and 5 onshore. The SADR Petroleum and Mining Authority invites expressions of interest for these areas.
